Uresil flush / shut off

Description

This is a Uresil AFA-LL flush / shut off – transition piece between the Nephrostomy tube coming out of the back and the tube going into the bag. Male Luer Lock on the Neph side, Female Luer Lock on the bag side. Connects properly to all Luer Lock nephrostomy / bag set ups.

Please note: These now have 2 clamps, 1 above the “Y”, another one below. In our experience, the clamp above is useless, and can be removed.

Experienced Neph people have found an issue with this product.
And YES, it is currently being used in many hospital systems all over the country.
Because the flush side points up, and because the kidney spits out tissue “bits”, the “bits” can collect in the side of the flush “Y” — This means when you flush, you can actually push “bits” up the tube and into the kidney!
We recommend removing the “Y” turning it upside down, and putting it back together.
