Abdominal Pads

Description

The Dermacea Abdominal Pad 7‑1/2″ × 8″ (and 1 (one) 8″ x 10″) is a versatile, high‑absorbency dressing designed to protect and support large surgical wounds, especially in the abdominal region. Its soft nonwoven top sheet ensures comfort for the patient, while the fluff interior absorbs and disperses fluid, helping to reduce the frequency of dressing changes. The sealed edges prevent lint and leakage, which is especially important in maintaining a clean and intact wound environment.

In practice, this pad can be used as a primary dressing over incisions that are draining significantly (i.e. heavily exuding wounds), or as a secondary covering over other dressings when additional absorption and protection is required. Because of its size and capacity, it is well suited to cover wide surgical fields or larger wounds. Its design also makes it useful for padding around pressure points or under bulky dressings to guard against localized skin stress or shear.
